Goombungee State School opened on 1 November 1881, with an enrolment of 17 with Annie McLeod Rowland as teacher.
Today, Goombungee State School is a Prep to Year 6, co-educational school, with approximately 100 students. We are located in a beautiful rural setting, 46km's north of Toowoomba.
Our school motto "Working together" and school values of Co-operation, Achievement, Responsibility, and Excellence (CARE) form the basis of everything we do.
