​Goombungee State School opened on 1 November 1881, with an enrolment of 17 with Annie McLeod Rowland as teacher.
Today, Goombungee State School is a Prep to Year 6, co-educational school, with approximately 100 students. We are located in a beautiful rural setting, 46km's north of Toowoomba.
Our school motto "Working together" and school values of Co-operation, Achievement, Responsibility, and Excellence (CARE) form the basis of everything we do. We CARE about each and every student and work together to ensure that every day, every child in every classroom is accessing quality education.
